The expert named the number of employed boarding school wards
In Russia as a whole, the rate of officially employed people living in boarding schools is only 2%, the coordinator of the Employment project of the ANO Service for the Protection of Rights (operating in the Nizhny Novgorod region) told Izvestia Irina Malyaeva.
"Among the people living in boarding schools in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 4% are employed. In Russia as a whole, this figure is even lower — only 2%. In fact, they work much more: the wards of boarding schools voluntarily help in the PSNI, often performing the duties of full—time employees, but they are not officially employed," she said.
According to the expert, it is especially difficult to find employment for those who live in neuropsychiatric boarding schools. In particular, because PSNI employees often do not believe in their real abilities.
"There are difficulties in the labor market: there are very few professions that are adapted to employ people with mental disorders," the source told Izvestia.
