As a result of the explosion and subsequent fire at the Navajo Refinery in Artesia, New Mexico, three people were injured. This was reported on November 1 by the local police and HF Sinclair, the company that owns the company.

On October 31, rescue services received a signal about thick smoke spreading through the city. They arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

"The fire has been extinguished. Three people were evacuated outside the site for medical treatment. There are no other casualties," the Associated Press (AP) agency quoted the company as saying.

HF Sinclair's website notes that New Mexico's largest refinery processes 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The plant serves markets in the southwestern United States.

As a result of the explosion on October 31 at the Alvarez de Sotomayor military base in Viator (Almeria province), at least one person was killed and another was seriously injured. The explosion occurred in the area of the training camp. According to the Okdiario newspaper, the military base is the main training center of the Spanish Legion, where exercises with live ammunition and explosives are regularly held. This is not the first time such incidents have occurred on its territory.
