Buy AI: sales of smart technology have almost doubled compared to 2024
Stores have recorded significant growth in sales of household appliances with AI functions, ranging from 44% for vacuum cleaners to 180% for televisions in various categories. The editorial board received data from key participants in the consumer market and estimated that, on average, consumer demand for AI products increased by 85% and formed an important trend for 2025. The exact data and the brightest representatives of the goods sold are in the Izvestia material.
What do people buy
The demand for household appliances with AI functions shows a 40% increase in sales in units compared to 2024, the press service of the restore store chain reported. And in the Vsesmart smart appliance store chain, according to the results of the first nine months of 2025, compared to the same period last year, the largest sales growth was recorded for smart TVs (+183%) and built-in kitchen appliances (+147%).
According to MTS, Russians are rapidly buying aerogrills with intelligent cooking modes, sales increased by 211%. However, as the Citylink press service recalled, AI functionality is now mistakenly attributed to many smart gadgets. Most models work with algorithms, but they are not directly equipped with artificial intelligence.
"We are seeing a steady trend: the category of smart technology with AI is growing both monthly and year—on—year, and customers are increasingly choosing models with advanced functionality and car scenarios," said Pavel Komarov, head of the Electronics and Home Appliances business at Avito.
Wildberries predicts a 20-30% growth in smart home devices this year. Affordable mobile Internet with a wide coverage area also plays an important role, but consumers are still afraid of possible data leaks, the marketplace's press service noted.
Smart vacuum cleaners
Sales of smart robot vacuum cleaners increased by 44% over the year, according to Avito, and by 32%, according to MTS. Models from brands such as Dreame, Xiaomi, and Roborock make up half of the range of all such devices.
The editors tested the latest model with AI features, the Trouver V50 Ultra Complete. He entered the ranking of the most efficient robots in 2025. Its main advantage is its cross—country ability: the device confidently overcomes thresholds up to 5 cm and drives under furniture with a clearance of 9 cm thanks to a hidden lidar. The robot cleans curtains, cleans corners and carpets, and the twin turbo brushes barely wind your hair. The All-in-one station has built-in water and air heating, self-cleaning, UV disinfection, contamination control of wipes and automatic detergent supply, including an option against animal odors. Maintenance has become easier, and the object recognition system works accurately even in the dark. The advantages are complemented by powerful suction, high-quality wet cleaning, voice control, a camera for remote control, full Russification and a rich package.
Of course, there are also disadvantages. The main drawback is the inability to connect the station to the water supply and sewerage, which looks strange for the premium level. The second disadvantage is the overestimated power values: the claimed 24,000 Pa has not been confirmed and some debris remains in the deep crevices. In addition, object recognition is still imperfect — the robot hits obstacles. Also, the side brush could receive protection from hair winding.
Smart speakers
Smart speakers are most often used for cooking recipes and children's fairy tales. According to Sber, devices with GigaChat technology were used over 4 million times to read fairy tales in 2025 and over 0.5 million times to create cooking recipes. The editors examined the latest SberBoom Micro speaker in the sea pebble form factor, which is a miniature device that fits in the palm of your hand.
Due to the small case, the speaker is equipped with a weak speaker (2 watts), so the sound is only suitable for voice commands or background listening. There is no built—in battery - power is supplied via USB, which limits mobility.
Also, the device does not support the Zigbee and Matter protocols, so its capabilities as a smart home hub are limited. In general, this is a simple solution for communicating with the Salyut voice assistant, but not an option for those who care about sound or advanced automation. The only thing that somehow justifies the device is its very low price.
Smart voice recorders
In the restore store network: various Yandex acoustics are represented among the leaders of AI devices. But besides it, there are other devices related to sound, for example, the first voice recorder in the Russian Federation with a built-in AI assistant. TicNote is a compact and technologically advanced voice recorder with built—in artificial intelligence that combines the functions of recording, transcription, translation and speech analysis. Its dimensions are comparable to a bank card, and its weight is only 29 g, while the device is made of durable aluminum alloy and equipped with an OLED display.
However, the free plan provides only 600 minutes of audio-to-text transcription, as well as part of the AI agent's capabilities, and extended tariffs will require additional payment. Due to the small size, management may seem inconvenient to users accustomed to large devices, and the lack of a memory card slot limits the expansion of storage.
The device also requires synchronization with the app to fully work with AI functions, which makes it dependent on a smartphone and Internet access. Although the manufacturer pays attention to privacy, some of the analytical operations are still performed in the cloud, which may alert corporate users with increased security requirements. This is a promising solution at the junction of a voice recorder and a personal AI assistant, but its potential is revealed only through active interaction with the Mobvoi ecosystem.
Smart beauty gadgets
Dreame Miracle Pro is an advanced hair dryer with hair and scalp care functions. It is equipped with a powerful motor, intelligent temperature control system, ionization and dual LED therapy, which, according to the manufacturer, improves the condition of the hair. The device is made of high-quality materials, has a stylish design and several nozzles for different types of styling. Fast drying, stable temperature and pleasant airflow make use comfortable, especially for those who are used to premium technology.
However, Miracle Pro has a couple of disadvantages. The main thing is the high price, which puts it on a par with professional salon appliances. In addition, the device is not the lightest, it requires careful handling and time to master numerous modes. As a result, Miracle Pro impresses with smart technology, but it may seem expensive for those who are just looking for a convenient and powerful beauty gadget.
Smart tablets
Sales of smartphones and tablets with AI functions in the MTS retail network increased by 59% in units compared to the same period last year in the first ten months of 2025, with Huawei and Samsung brands among the leaders. Citylink's press service noted that Samsung smartphones are the most advanced AI available on the Russian market, and demand for them has grown by 15% year-on-year.
One of the most popular new products in October 2025 was the Redmi Pad 2 Pro. The tablet stands out with a rich 12.1-inch 2.5K panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Dolby Vision support and a proprietary matte screen texture in one of the versions - this makes it a good choice for watching videos, reading and working with notes. The device is based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, equipped with up to 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB drive with microSD card support up to 2 TB, received a 12,000 mAh battery with 33 W charging, a 7.5 mm thick metal case and a weight of about 610 g, which is quite decent for a 12-inch device.. These characteristics allow us to consider it a balanced option for multimedia, study and work.
However, there are some points worth paying attention to. Firstly, the 8 MP rear and front cameras are not impressive: the image quality is mediocre, especially in low light, and the tablet is not designed for photography as a key task. Secondly, there is no fingerprint scanner, which raises questions about convenience and security in modern realities. Thirdly, despite the powerful chip and the high class of the model, with prolonged gaming or heavy graphics load, you may notice heating and some decrease in performance — the device still does not compete with top-end gaming tablets. If you use it as a tablet for watching content or surfing, then some premium features may be redundant - you have to pay too much for them, and the benefits will not always be obvious.
