Negligence during the Louvre robbery allowed the police to get on the trail of the suspects

The Louvre robbers allowed law enforcement officers to find important evidence due to their negligence. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on October 31.

The publication notes that the attackers prepared a canister of gasoline in order to quickly set fire to the elevator and other equipment that they used to enter the Louvre and steal jewelry.

"The fire could have destroyed all the evidence linking them to the crime. But time was running out: the police were already approaching," the publication says.
