- Overchuk pointed out the readiness of the Russian Federation to cooperate with the Asia-Pacific Region in the creative industries
The Russian side is ready to cooperate with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in the creative and cultural industries. This was announced on November 1 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
"We are ready to cooperate in the creative and cultural industries," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Overchuk, in the first half of 2025, the share of creative industries reached 3.9% of GDP, and by 2030 it is planned to increase this figure to 6%.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that following the adoption of the federal law on the development of creative industries in the country, a strategy for the development of the creative economy until 2036 is being developed. He stressed that 41% of those employed in this field are young people under 35 years of age.
On October 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to send a Russian delegation to the APEC summit in South Korea, which runs from October 29 to November 2. Then it was reported that Overchuk would lead the delegation.
On October 30, Overchuk said that due to the shift of the economic center of the world towards Southeast Asia, which occurred earlier, countries have the opportunity to develop their economies independently. He noted that financial integration is also underway, which includes, among other things, lending and the delivery of goods.
