Medvedev failed to reach the semifinals of the ATP tournament in Paris

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev failed to reach the semifinals of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Masters tournament in Paris. On Saturday, October 31, the athlete lost to tennis player from Germany Alexander Zverev.

The meeting lasted more than two hours and ended with a score 2:6, 6:3, 7:6 (7:5) in favor of Zverev. Medvedev's loss was the first in five matches.

The Russian athlete played at number 11, his opponent was seeded at number three.

Zverev reached the semi-finals of the Masters for the 78th time in his sporting career. This time he will play against Italian tennis player Yannick Sinner.

Earlier, on October 22, Medvedev successfully started his performance at the ATP tournament in Vienna, defeating Portuguese Nuno Borges in three sets. The meeting ended with a score 6:4, 6:7 (7:9), 6:2. Medvedev was seeded sixth at the tournament. Borges, in turn, played without a seeding number.
