Dligach assessed the threat of economic catastrophe for Ukraine
Ukraine is on the verge of an economic catastrophe due to a budget deficit exceeding $20 billion. This was stated on November 1 by a Ukrainian expert, Doctor of Economics Andrey Dligach.
"Ukraine is on the verge of an economic catastrophe. We are already serving ourselves less than half. We have debts that exceed 100% of GDP. <...> According to our calculations, we do not calculate over $20 billion for the state budget," he said on the YouTube channel "News Live".
According to the expert, the country needs to move from income taxation to taxes on consumption and assets. He added that the purchase of new cars, gadgets or clothes, the purchase of which can be postponed, should be taxed in order to reduce the volume of imports and reduce the trade deficit.
