The festival of comic culture, mysticism and fiction "Necrocomicon", which is scheduled to take place on November 1 and 2 in St. Petersburg, may be canceled due to a misunderstanding of the objectives of the event by the administration of the Krasnogvardeisky district. Dmitry Trushkov, the organizer of the festival, told Izvestia about this on November 1.

He noted that the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg has issued a permit to hold the festival and fair within its framework. The problems began after the district administration demanded clarification of the "true objectives of the event."

"There are no grounds. We have decided why we should cancel, we are not violating anything. The administration of the Krasnogvardeysky district accused us of being Satanists (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the territory of the Russian Federation)," Trushkov said.

According to him, on October 31, law enforcement officers began blocking the entrance of cars with decorations, as a result of which the festival premises remained almost empty. Alexey Samsonov, an assistant to the organizer, was also detained to check documents for violations of migration legislation. The man is a citizen of Kazakhstan and has been living in St. Petersburg for 20 years.

Earlier, on September 25, it was reported that the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow blocked access to sites with pornographic Satanist content. Materials with intimate photos and videos insulting religious values were publicly available on the Internet. The owners of the resources could not be identified.
