FIFA referee Meshkov ended his career as a judge at the age of 42
FIFA referee Vitaly Meshkov has ended his judicial career. This was reported by Sport-Express on October 31.
The last match in which Meshkov participated was the meeting of the 11th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) between the Moscow clubs CSKA and Spartak (3:2). In this match, he worked as a video assistant referee VAR.
Meshkov, who turned 42, began his career as a referee in 2009, when he made his debut as a chief referee in the First Division. A year later, he served his first match in the RPL.
Earlier, on September 19, former defender of the Russian national team Mario Fernandez announced the end of his professional career. It was clarified that the 35-year-old defender's last club was Zenit, which he left in the summer of 2024.
