In Granada, Spain, jewelry was stolen from the image of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary in the church of Santa Cruz la Real. This was reported on October 31 by the newspaper El Espanol, citing its sources.

According to the Fraternity of the Rosary of Granada, the stolen items were private donations from believers.

"The judicial police, with whom the Brotherhood is closely cooperating, have already become aware of this event," the organization noted, adding that the recordings from the surveillance cameras will help clarify the circumstances of the theft.

It is specified that the cameras recorded two people with open faces who entered the temple. The alleged criminals approached the chapel unhindered and stole the jewelry. Despite the emotional damage, the sculpture itself was not damaged.

The Church of Santa Cruz la Real has already experienced similar incidents — about twenty robberies have occurred here recently. The National Police analyzes the collected traces and video surveillance recordings to identify the perpetrators.

On the same day, the newspaper El País reported that the painting by the artist Pablo Picasso "Still Life with a Guitar", which was previously considered missing during transportation to participate in an exhibition in Spain, had been with the local concierge all this time, who accidentally took it away. The 69-year-old said she found it near the door and mistook it for a parcel.
