Lukashenko spoke about his reaction to the US demand to apologize to Lithuania
On October 31, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said he had "sent" the United States to apologize to Lithuania for the weather balloon situation.
"Literally the next day after the night when these balloons flew, the Americans sent us a message that the Belarusians were to blame for what happened, and the authorities and Lukashenko should immediately apologize to Lithuania, and publicly for this," BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
Lukashenko replied that he had "sent" the Americans in response to this demand.
