The Moldovan parliament has approved the composition and program of the government of businessman Alexander Munteanu. This was reported on October 31 by the Telegram channel Sputnik Moldova with reference to the relevant resolution.

"The Moldovan government, headed by Alexandre Munteanu, was approved after eight hours of speeches by the prime minister and deputies in parliament," the article says.

It is noted that 55 deputies voted for the appointment of the government of Munteanu. The opposition Party of Socialists, the Party of Communists, Our Party, Democracy at Home and the Alternative bloc did not support this decision. The ministers of the new Moldovan government will take the oath of office on Saturday, November 1.

On October 24, Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed a decree appointing Munteanu to the post of Prime Minister of the country. The Head of State wished the new Prime Minister success in establishing a government and implementing the main tasks of maintaining stability, moving towards the European Union, strengthening the economy and improving the standard of living of the population.

Prior to that, on October 13, Dorin Rechan, who served as Prime Minister of Moldova, resigned from his post in the new government of the country. In addition, he announced his desire to retire from politics and resign as a member of parliament.
