Moscow is determined to contribute to equipping the armies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with modern weapons and transfer the experience gained during the special military operation to its colleagues. This was announced on October 31 by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Andrei Belousov.

"We are determined to expand joint operational and combat training activities. To contribute to equipping national armies with modern weapons. To transfer the experience gained during the special military operation in Ukraine," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Belousov pointed out that the difficult situation in the world requires a unified approach of the CIS military departments to assess the challenges and threats that have arisen. The priority for the Ministries of Defense is to strengthen the national armed forces and maintain regional stability.

"Against the background of a difficult military and political situation, it is especially important to have a unity of approaches both to our common heroic past and to assess modern challenges and threats," he added.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Minister clarified that Russia's military cooperation with Kazakhstan plays a crucial role in maintaining stability in the Central Asian region. According to Belousov, the Russian Defense Ministry is assisting Kazakhstan in improving its armed forces and is actively sharing its combat experience. The training of the Kazakh military continues in Russian military educational institutions.

At a press conference following the summit of the CIS heads of state on October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that military personnel are now solving tasks that are crucial for Russia.
