The head of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kesh Patel, announced the arrest of several people in Michigan who, according to preliminary data, were preparing a terrorist attack on Halloween.

"This morning, the FBI prevented a potential terrorist attack and detained several suspects in Michigan who were allegedly preparing a violent attack on Halloween weekend," Patel wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the FBI director, more detailed information about the incident will be released later.

The Associated Press reported on October 12 that four people were killed and 20 injured in a shooting at a bar in South Carolina. The shooting occurred at Willie's Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island.
