About 84.5% of public transport in the Stavropol Territory is equipped with terminals for cashless payment of travel. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Economic Development on Friday, October 31.

"The transition to digital payments makes travel more convenient and increases the transparency of financial flows in the transportation sector, which is part of the federal strategy to combat the shadow economy," said Anton Doronin, head of the department.

According to the ministry, thanks to the equipment of transport terminals, the collection of taxes increases, which can be directed to social programs. Work on the transfer of passenger transportation to non-cash payment continues.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, eyewitnesses periodically meet drivers who hide terminals. They explain their inability to use the drone threat mode. At the same time, the regional mindoro advises local residents to have cash with them, since due to Internet failures, payment may indeed not take place.
