Sobyanin spoke about the construction of a sail bridge in the west of Moscow

More than half of the span of the sail bridge has been installed in the alignment of Novozavodskaya Street, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the channel at the MAX. Two large span sections are installed above the left bank and riverbed.

The new four-lane bridge will provide access from the Filyovsky Park area to the North-Western Chord. As a result, there will be an additional route with the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki area. In particular, it will be easier to get to the cluster in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain and the territory of the Khrunichev State Scientific and Scientific Center, the mayor of the capital noted.

"We are carrying out the construction "in a canopy" — this modern technology allows us to assemble the bridge directly above the water, without stopping the movement of electric vessels along the Moskva River," Sobyanin stressed. Work is currently underway on the assembly of metal structures. Next, the specialists will begin to mount the superstructure over the right bank and begin to erect an 86-meter pylon, which will become the support of the entire structure.

Earlier, Sobyanin announced the improvement of two embankments in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain. The project is being implemented in three stages on an area of 19 hectares. The eastern part will stretch from the intersection of Nizhni Mnevniki with the Projected passage No. 1166 to the "sail bridge" near Novozavodskaya Street. The territory is equipped with walking areas, a pier, playgrounds and recreation areas.
