Three cases of illegal transportation of cattle without veterinary documents have been stopped in the Trans-Baikal Territory. In total, these are 170 cows, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor reported on Friday, October 31.

So, on October 27, inspectors stopped the transportation of 25 cattle on the 181st km of the Darasun—State Border road. The animals were traveling from the village of Ust-Il in the Akshinsky district to the Uletovsky district.

The next day, on October 28, on the 67th km of the Mogoitui-Olochi road, the transportation of 34 heads from the village of Kholui—Baza in the Ononsky district to Ussuriysk was stopped. On the same day, a car with 111 cows was stopped on the Chita—Irkutsk highway, which were being transported from Mogoitui district to Dagestan.

All the carriers lacked documents confirming the origin of the animals, their health and the epizootic well-being of the places of export. Now the cows are in temporary housing. The violators were ordered to take anti-epizootic measures.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, since the beginning of the year, 41 violations have been detected in Transbaikalia during the transportation of agricultural animals — these are 1,872 heads, including 1,289 cattle, 401 small animals and 182 horses.
