A court in St. Petersburg has fined local resident Mikhail Pushnitsky 30,000 rubles under an administrative article on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on October 31 by Daria Lebedeva, head of the joint press service of the city courts.

"Pushnitsky was sentenced to a fine of 30,000 rubles under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation" — Ed.)," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

According to the source of the publication, 78-year-old Pushnitsky was detained on Thursday during an action in memory of victims of political repression at the Levashovsky Memorial cemetery, when he showed an "indefinite circle of people" a badge in the form of the flag of Ukraine.

Earlier, on October 28, street singer Diana Loginova, who performed songs by foreign agents, was fined 30,000 rubles. Her detention under Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of mass simultaneous stay of citizens in a public place, resulting in a violation of public order") became known on October 15. On October 20, law enforcement officers drew up another protocol to discredit the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in relation to Loginova.
