A rabid marten bit a man in the Ternovsky municipal district of Sevastopol. Quarantine has been declared in the district, the press service of the city government reported on Friday, October 31.

The state veterinary service received an appeal from the victim, who lives in the area of the village of Rodnoye. At night, the animal entered the house through an open window and attacked a local resident.

In the morning, an animal's pipe was found in the yard. He was handed over to the veterinarians for examination. The laboratory confirmed the rabies virus.

According to the information of the SevastopolMedia news agency, the Crimean is already receiving assistance. He is undergoing treatment for a dangerous disease.
