One of the possible arsonists of a charity organization was detained in St. Petersburg. Unknown people tried to set fire to a garbage bag at the door of a night shelter for the homeless on Ninth of January Avenue. Up to 40 people can spend the night there every day.

The police established the identity and place of residence of one of those involved in the crime. It turned out to be a 27-year-old local resident. According to him, he tried to set fire to the nochlezhka building out of hooligan motives.

On October 31, it was reported that a fire broke out in an apartment building in St. Petersburg in the Nevsky district, as a result of which two people died. The message about the fire at the address: Antonova-Ovseenko Street, house No. 21, was received at 4:10 Moscow time. In a three-room apartment, the furniture was burned on an area of 6 sq. m. The fire was extinguished at 5:06 Moscow time.
