The State Duma proposed to introduce a "fish day" for the sale of fish with discounts

Sergei Mironov, the head of the Duma faction and leader of the Fair Russia party, proposed introducing a "fish day" in which fish would be sold at a discount in stores. The politician stated this in an interview with TASS on October 31.

"Let's have fish Thursday, when fish in stores will be sold at a 50% discount. The benefits here are not only for the population. For suppliers, the endless rise in price and decrease in consumption threatens to reduce demand. And vice versa. And trade will eventually take its toll due to sales growth. So it's worth a try," he stressed.
