In St. Petersburg, in the Nevsky district, a fire broke out in an apartment building, which killed two people. This was reported on October 31 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the city.

A fire was reported at Antonova-Ovseenko Street, building No. 21, at 4:10 Moscow time. In a three-room apartment, the furniture was burned on an area of 6 sq. m. The fire was extinguished at 5:06 Moscow time.

"Three pieces of equipment and 15 personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in extinguishing the fire," the ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that on October 28 in Moscow, firefighters rescued four people from a burning apartment. The fire occurred on the fourth floor of a 14-storey apartment building, where personal belongings and furniture on an area of about 9 square meters caught fire. Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire within half an hour.
