In Sudan's Al-Fasher, the death toll after the capture of the city by the rebels from the Rapid Reaction Forces (RFS) reached about 2 thousand people, the Akhbar al-Asr newspaper reported on October 30.

The Yale University Humanities Research Laboratory has confirmed the mass killings in El Fasher using satellite imagery and video, describing the events as potentially tantamount to ethnic cleansing.

"In two days, the militants killed about 2,000 people, most of whom were women, children and the elderly," the local medical authorities noted.

At the same time, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that two high-ranking officials of the World Food Program (GDP) leave the country within 72 hours. WFP said the decision jeopardizes efforts to help more than 24 million people suffering from severe food shortages.

Earlier, on October 29, it was reported that more than 460 people were killed as a result of the storming of the maternity hospital in El Fasher by militants from the SBR. The conflict between the SBR under the command of General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo and the Sudanese army has been going on since April 2023, and during this time, according to WHO, 185 attacks on medical institutions have been recorded, which killed more than 1.2 thousand people.
