The funeral of Anatoly Menshchikov, Honored Artist of Russia, actor of the Vakhtangov Theater, will take place on November 3 at the Troekurovsky cemetery. The farewell ceremony will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 Moscow time in the Grand Foyer of the theater. This was announced on October 30 by the director of the theater Kirill Krok.
"Anatoly Menshchikov devoted almost five decades to serving the Vakhtangov Theater and left a vivid mark in the history of the stage," TASS reports.
The actor began his career in 1967 at the Taganka Theater, and since 1977 he served at the Vakhtangov Theater, where one of his outstanding works was the role of non-commissioned officer Lorio in the play "Mademoiselle Nitouche", in which he performed more than 400 times.
Earlier that day, the press service of the Vakhtangov Theater reported that Anatoly Menshchikov died at the age of 75. The theater emphasized his dedication to the stage, respect for colleagues and deep love for the history of the theater. The artist was known for his attention to detail, sincerity in his work and the ability to create vivid and memorable images that were admired by the audience and colleagues.
