An officer of the Ministry of Defense, who became disabled, accepted an apology from the accused

An officer of the Ministry of Defense and his wife, who were seriously injured in the terrorist attack on Moscow's Sinyavinskaya Street in the summer of 2024, accepted the apology of the accused Evgeny Serebryakov (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist). The officer stated this on October 30 at a meeting of the 2nd Western District Military Court.

"The purpose of the bombing was to intimidate the population <...> and discredit the Russian government," the Kommersant newspaper quoted the prosecutor as saying.

At the same time, the four owners of the damaged cars refused to apologize. The opinion of the victims will be taken into account when passing sentence.
