Top officials of the administration of US President Donald Trump have begun moving to military bases for security reasons. This was reported on October 30 by The Atlantic magazine, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, the decision is related to the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, mass protests against Trump's policies and threats against officials and their families. The Atlantic notes that the moves of administration representatives are due to the need for protection. At military bases, they can count on round-the-clock protection from the military.

The magazine clarifies that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristy Noem, Federal Government Efficiency Department spokeswoman Katie Miller and her husband, Trump adviser Stephen Miller, as well as Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll are currently at the bases of the US armed forces.
