The "Coalition of the Willing" is attempting to put pressure on Russia, thereby shifting the focus from military assistance to Ukraine. This was announced on October 30 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing.

"London keeps the topic of foreign intervention in Ukraine afloat, well aware of the unacceptability of this scenario for us, for Russia. They are using it as a tool to sabotage the peace process so that the Kiev regime can just continue fighting, as former British Prime Minister [Boris] Johnson insisted in 2022," she said.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the "Coalition of Willing" is increasingly discussing the use of financial and economic levers of pressure on Russia.

Zakharova noted that the steps taken by the coalition to exclude benefits from frozen Russian assets are a sign that the resources of Kiev's sponsors are "running out."

In the event that the frozen assets of the Russian Federation are confiscated, Moscow will give "a guaranteed and very painful response," she said.

Earlier in the day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the ceasefire plan from the "coalition of the willing" would be ready in seven days. He added that this plan should supposedly be short in size and without a lot of details.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that calls for a ceasefire were an attempt to buy time again. According to him, a number of agreements, including the Minsk agreements, were blocked by external factors, which, in his opinion, excluded the possibility of a peaceful settlement within the previous framework.
