A court in the Lipetsk region sentenced a 35-year-old resident of the Khleven district, who, along with his friend, shot two female spotted deer. This is reported by the regional prosecutor's office.
It was established that the men decided to illegally hunt on the territory of the Zadonsky hunting farm, near the village of Danshino. In September 2024, they shot two female spotted deer with a hunting rifle. The damage caused amounted to 600 thousand rubles.
The court found a 35-year-old resident of the Khleven district guilty under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal hunting, causing major damage, using a mechanical vehicle, by a group of persons by prior agreement"). He was sentenced to three years of probation.
For two years, the court also banned him from hunting and confiscated his rifle. In addition, the man must compensate the regional department for the protection and use of wildlife and aquatic biological resources for the damage caused.
According to GOROD48, the case against the second participant of the illegal hunting has been separated into a separate proceeding.
