Participants of the special military operation with disabilities will be able to learn how to drive a car. This was announced on October 30 in the press service of the government of the Tyumen region.

On behalf of the governor of the region, Alexander Morozov, a specially equipped Lada Vesta car was purchased for the driving school of the DOSAAF regional branch of Russia, equipped not only with manual controls for people with disabilities, but also with a wheelchair lifting box.

The chairman of the organization, Zhaksylyk Shaikenov, said that veterans of their military education with disabilities can study in Tyumen, Tobolsk and Ishim.

"For those who already have category B rights, the course will take 20 hours. For those who are just starting out, a full course of 180 hours of theory and 56 hours of practice is provided," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

It clarifies that free driving school tuition and a car are provided only to veterans with double amputations or wheelchair users.
