- Orban announced the EU's plans to take money for military operations from the pocket of the people
Europe has run out of money for the war, and it wants to take the missing funds from the pocket of the people. This was announced on October 30 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"According to the old saying, three things are needed for war: money, money, and money. Europe has run out of money, it wants to start a war, so it wants to take the missing amount from the pockets of Europeans, including Hungarians," Orban said in a video posted on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
According to him, it is necessary to say "no to the war" and tax increases so that Hungarians' money stops going to the needs of Brussels.
"We want as much money as possible to remain with the people, and everything that the state collects should go not to war, but for the benefit of Hungarians," Orban said.
U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker said on October 28 that the United States could sell about $2 billion worth of weapons to European countries in the coming months for their further transfer to Ukraine. In addition, Whitaker said that he had held a meeting with the head of the CIA to discuss alternative sanctions options for influencing Russia. He also noted that US President Donald Trump continued to study the issue of supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles or other long-range weapons.
