The concept of the Christmas market in St. Petersburg will be designed in the Russian style. This was announced on October 30 by Alexander Sitov, Chairman of the city Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade.

"Manezhnaya Square and Palace Square will be decorated in the Russian style, that is, we are moving away from the style of a medieval and European city, which affected both our traditions and the traditions of European states," he said in an interview with TASS.

Sitov added that this year the fair will be presented in the style of old St. Petersburg, all decorations will be standardized by the transition to Russian traditions, and next year a specific idea based on fairy tales will be chosen.

On October 20, a large artificial Christmas tree was erected near the main entrance to Gorky Park in Moscow. The footage shows that the Christmas tree has already been assembled, but there are no decorations on it yet, with the exception of a silver star at the top.
