The confidence rating of French President Emmanuel Macron has dropped to 11%. This was confirmed on October 30 by a survey conducted by the sociological company Verian Group.

"Something happened that the Elysee Palace had been fearing for several months: Macron's confidence rating fell again this month, reaching its lowest level and equaling the worst result of Francois Hollande (the 24th president of France. — Ed.)," the newspaper Le Figaro clarifies with reference to the results of the study.

It is noted that the survey was conducted from October 26 to October 28 among 1,000 adult French citizens.

On October 17, more than half of French residents admitted to feeling ashamed of the current political situation in a survey conducted by the Verian Group. The study also showed a high level of dissatisfaction with the current government, as well as with political parties.

Later, on October 26, the NYT newspaper called the Louvre robbery the cherry on the cake of Macron's problems. The publication stressed that the French leader's popularity is currently at its lowest level in history.
