Dermatologist, cosmetologist, trichologist Yana Shatskaya told how to remove age-related pigmentation.

In an interview with the Health Mail on Thursday, October 30, she noted that with age, the skin loses its ability to evenly distribute melanin, the pigment responsible for color. Because of this, dark spots appear on the face, hands and in the decollete area. The main causes are ultraviolet radiation, hormonal changes, heredity, stress and inflammation. It is possible to completely remove the pronounced pigmentation only from a cosmetologist.

At home, care with low-concentration acids (glycolic, almond, lactic), products with niacinamide, vitamin C or arbutin is acceptable. Do not use aggressive scrubs, untested "whitening" creams or folk recipes — they can worsen the problem, the specialist noted.

Effective cosmetic methods: chemical peels, laser pigmentation removal, IPL therapy, meso- and biorevitalization with components that even out skin tone.

On October 22, beauty technologist and cosmetologist Anna Nechaeva stated that facial cleansing should include a preparatory peeling. According to the expert, after cleansing the face, it is necessary to abandon the use of acids and retinoids for several days, leaving only hydration, notes 360.ru .

On October 16, cosmetologist Oksana Slobodyanyuk spoke about the dangers of home peels. According to her, their frequent use can disrupt the skin's natural protective barrier and make it more sensitive to UV, wind, cold and pollutants. In addition, the uncontrolled use of peels can lead to uneven distribution of melanin, causing the appearance of age spots, writes RT.

On October 1, dermatologist and cosmetologist Galina Amosova said that in the summer people often encounter skin pigmentation, which shows a malfunction of the body. Pigmentation is also affected by a lack of A, C and E, as well as an overabundance of vitamins of group B. Sometimes liver diseases, digestive disorders and even stress can cause spots, especially on the face.
