In conversation with aif.ru On Thursday, October 30, he urged Russians to take more responsibility for their health on the eve of a seasonal increase in the incidence. According to the expert, it is worth taking vitamins and medications to support the immune system, especially for the elderly.

In addition, Onishchenko recommended that during the period of rising morbidity, if possible, refrain from attending mass events. He noted that when infected with the virus, it is important to isolate yourself from family members, especially if there are children or elderly relatives at home. If a child is sick, he should also be protected from contact with others. The doctor added that it is useful to wear masks and reminded of the need for vaccination.

On October 27, Vladimir Chulanov, chief freelance specialist in infectious diseases at the Russian Ministry of Health, warned that the situation with influenza and SARS in Russia remains stable, but an increase in the incidence is expected in December and January.

On October 20, pulmonologist Andrey Malyavin stated that shortness of breath is a sign of possible complications with a cold. According to him, if you experience shortness of breath or chest pain, you should immediately undergo an examination. The specialist recommended paying special attention to the blood test, in particular, the level of procalcitonin, which helps to detect acute inflammation and determine the need for antibiotics and other drugs. 360.ru .
