Preparations for a terrorist attack in a penitentiary were stopped in the Rostov region.

Security forces stopped the preparation of a terrorist attack and hostage-taking in one of the institutions of the penitentiary system of the Rostov region. This was reported on October 30 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"A criminal case has been opened into the commission of a crime under Part 1 of Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for the commission of a terrorist act")," the agency's Telegram channel says.
