Lower prices for premium cars from China have been recorded in Russia

The average price of new premium cars from China in the third quarter of 2025 was 12.8% lower than in January –March, and amounted to 5.4 million rubles. On October 30, Avito Auto experts told Izvestia about this, having studied the array of data on the platform.

For some models, the average price reduction rate was lower than for the entire premium car market from China. These are, for example, Hongqi H5 (-22.7%; 3.75 million rubles) and HS3 (-17.1%; 3.35 million rubles). Voyah Dream is now on average 10.7% cheaper than at the beginning of the year (8.4 million rubles), and Li Auto L9 — by 9.9% (8.3 million rubles).

The most popular cars among users are Exeed, Tank, Li Auto, Voyah and Hongqi brands. The most popular models were Tank 300, Voyah Free, Li Auto L7, Exeed RX, Li Auto L6, Exeed LX, Li Auto L9, Tank 500, Hongqi HS3 and Exeed TLX. Compared to the first quarter, Voyah cars became noticeably more in demand (+18%). Among the models in the top 3 in terms of demand dynamics are Voyah Dream (+31.3%) and Free (+14.3%), as well as Hongqi HS3 (+17.5%).

The decrease in average prices for premium Chinese cars is also due to a change in the market structure with a shift towards more affordable models: in the third quarter, the share of cars in the price range of 2-3 million rubles increased by a third, analysts said. Buyers have become more likely to choose models in initial and medium trim levels, as many modern models are already well equipped by default, experts said.

Earlier, on October 29, it was reported that in the first 9 months of this year, the supply of new cars worth over 7 million rubles decreased by 40% in the alternative import segment, although it remains stable among the brands officially represented on the Russian market. If in the case of the latter, manufacturers from China account for the entire supply, then in terms of alternative imports, their share has fallen from 23% to 2% since the beginning of the year.
