A well-developed resume and understanding how to present yourself at an interview is the key to success in finding a job. Aigun Kurbanova, President of the Association of Career Consultants, told about this on Thursday, October 30. She warned Russians against the most common mistakes when responding to vacancies.

According to the expert, autumn is associated with a "new start" for job seekers, but you should not perceive this season as the only right one for job search.

"In fact, active candidates who are looking for work in the summer or even during the New Year holidays often benefit: competition at this time is much lower, and employers who urgently need employees are ready to make decisions faster and meet candidates more readily, agreeing to their terms," Kurbanova said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.

According to the expert, it is important to take care of a high-quality resume in advance, prepare for interviews and think over a search strategy, rather than "train" on real vacancies. The winners are those who are looking for work systematically and year-round, rather than adjusting to seasonal fluctuations, she added.

"One of the most common problems is unadapted resumes. Most companies use automated selection systems, so it is important to select relevant keywords from the job description in order to pass the primary filter," said the career consultant.

The specialist noted that another common mistake is the lack of elaboration of the cover letter. A well-written and personalized letter is an opportunity to stand out from the background of similar responses, Kurbanova believes.

The expert also recommended using Artificial Intelligence (AI). In her opinion, algorithms will help speed up preparation and improve the quality of responses. With the help of AI, you can adapt resumes to specific vacancies, collect company analytics and prepare for interviews.

In addition, it is important to always come to an interview ready and know how the company lives, Kurbanova emphasized.

"Competence, preparedness and respect for the selection process are what allows a candidate to stand out from hundreds of other applicants, regardless of the level of activity in the labor market," the specialist concluded.

Earlier in the day, the head of the HR agency, Garry Muradian, told NSN that short work breaks, known as micropensions, are becoming increasingly popular among young professionals. According to him, many employers have become more loyal to the "white spots" in the resume of zoomers. 360.ru .

Earlier, on October 13, a survey conducted by the Talantix CRM recruitment system showed that the majority of Russians are interested in salaries and motivation systems at the job review stage. It was clarified that for 42% of respondents, information about the social package and bonuses is important, for 40% — about career prospects.
