Illegal migration is a real threat to Russia's national security. On October 30, Ibragim Khudaiberdiev, an expert of the Presidential Council on Interethnic Relations and head of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of Uzbeks in Russia, told Izvestia.
"This is (illegal migration. There is a real threat to the national security of both Russia and the countries of origin of these labor migrants," Khudaiberdiev said.
The expert added that foreign citizens who come to live and work in the Russian Federation are always told about the need to stay in the legal field of the Russian Federation. In addition, according to him, for many years, foreign citizens have also been constantly reminded of the need to comply with migration and other laws of Russia.
On the same day, the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that 10 Asian natives in Russia had been stripped of their Russian citizenship for threatening the country's national security. According to the agency, among those deprived of citizenship there is a convicted person for organizing illegal migration.
