New rules for keeping cats and dogs will be introduced in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, additional requirements for the maintenance of pets will begin to apply from March 1, 2026. This is provided for by the decree of the regional government.

So, it will be possible to walk pets in public places only on a leash. It will be forbidden to keep animals on balconies and in vehicles, as well as to let them go on self-walking and to visit rooms at the entrance to which there is information about restrictions on visiting them with pets, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Earlier, on October 1, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a law providing for administrative fines for legal entities for evading registration of dogs and their rabies vaccination. The law also increases fines for citizens and officials, and responsibility for violations of keeping pets in public areas has been increased.
