A baby who swallowed an open pin was rescued in the Chernihiv region of Primorye. She got stuck in the esophagus of a seven-month-old baby.

IA UssurMedia, referring to the Telegram channel "Children's Health of Primorye" writes that the baby's mother decided to cover him with an additional flannel blanket, but forgot that she had attached a safety pin to the blanket. The baby woke up, felt for the pin, managed to unhook it and put it in his mouth.

Later, the child began to have intense coughing and vomiting. At the Chernihiv hospital, an X-ray showed the shadow of a foreign object in the esophagus. The baby was transported to the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Vladivostok and underwent surgery.

Doctors managed to remove the pin using forceps under the control of an endoscope. The child will go home soon.

Earlier, on October 28, it was reported that a three-year-old boy was hospitalized in Yessentuki hospital after he swallowed stones. The child was admitted with pain and bloating. No one guessed the causes of the baby's ailment until the doctors took an X-ray. The results of the study showed that there are more than 25 stones of different sizes in the intestines of a small patient. Exactly how he swallowed them is unknown.
