An electrocuted volleyball player of the Iranian national team has been diagnosed with brain death.

The medical commission has confirmed the brain death of Saber Kazemi, a volleyball player of the Iranian national team. This was announced on October 30 by the Iranian Volleyball Federation (IRIVF).

At the same time, the athlete was not disconnected from life support devices, he continues to be in intensive care, the GDH portal quoted the press service as saying.

Kazemi received an electric shock in the pool after training with the Qatari club Al-Rayyan. As a result, the volleyball player's brain was seriously damaged.

The 26-year-old athlete's name is one of the most prominent in Iranian volleyball. He brought his team the gold medal at the 2021 Asian Championship, winning the title of the best player of the tournament.

On October 24, Kevin Bonaldo, an Italian cyclist from the Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank team, was reported dead. He was 25 years old. The athlete was hospitalized with a heart attack from the Piccola San Remo competition in Sovizzo.
