Equipment was brought out to clean roads in Birobidzhan after heavy snowfall

Snow removal has begun in Birobidzhan on highways and bus shelters. Public utilities primarily clear roads where public transport is moving, as well as objects with the most intense traffic.

IA EAOmedia, with reference to the city administration, clarifies that the harvesting equipment was sent to Sholom Aleichem, Pionerskaya, Kalinin, Oktyabrskaya, Gorky Streets, 60th Anniversary of the USSR Avenue. In addition, roads are being cleared near the villages behind the railway crossing and the Sopka microdistrict. The roads are sprinkled with a sand-and-salt mixture. Tractors are putting the sidewalks in order. Bus shelters are cleaned manually.

The heads of management companies have been ordered to quickly restore order in their territories. The heads of institutions, enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership were ordered to take measures to clear the areas adjacent to their facilities from snow and rolling.

Drivers are advised to observe the speed limit, keep their distance and avoid sudden maneuvers.

Earlier it was reported that passenger buses operating on the Amur–Birobidzhan-Khabarovsk federal highway section were reopened in the EAO. The decision was made due to improved weather and road conditions. However, traffic on the routes Birobidzhan - Obluchye, Birobidzhan – Golovino, Birobidzhan – village of Amurzet, Birobidzhan – village of Leninskoye is still closed.
