The State Duma wants to declare November 7 a day off in honor of the October Socialist Revolution Day.

On October 30, State Duma deputies led by Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov submitted to the lower house a bill proposing to declare November 7 a day off in honor of October Revolution Day. The relevant bill is posted in the Duma's electronic database.
The draft law proposes to amend the article of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation on non-working holidays.
"November 7 is the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution," the text of the bill says.
