UAZ told about the tests of the Patriot and the Pickup truck with a new engine
Promising UAZ Patriot and Pickup models with a new 6-speed transmission and a new two-liter diesel engine are undergoing comprehensive tests in Ulyanovsk. They have already covered tens of thousands of kilometers, and tests confirm the high performance of the models. This was reported to Izvestia on October 30 in the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.
"At the moment, the efficiency and durability of all components, assemblies and on-board systems are being tested in average operating conditions on roads with various types of pavement, as well as beyond. For several tens of thousands of kilometers traveled over long ascents, descents, asphalt, mud and sand, in different speed modes and with varying degrees of load on the internal combustion engine, no serious failures of equipment and electronics were recorded,"the company's press service noted.
The goal of the engineers is to conduct tests with a length of 100 thousand km of real operation in different conditions.: from high-speed trails to off-road, sand and mud. Specialists are testing the efficiency and durability of all components and on-board systems, paying special attention to the new 320 Nm torque power unit, the company added.
Earlier, on October 7, it was reported that the capacity of the new press production at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will amount to 20 thousand body kits per year. The production of the press line began at the plant in January of this year, it is one of the largest projects of the enterprise in recent decades.
On September 29, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant released a batch of gasoline Patriots and Pickups with a new six-speed manual transmission, which will be sent for certification tests. In early September, UAZ began completing a test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine.
