The cell tower was damaged due to an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Volgograd region. This was announced on October 30 by the governor of the region Andrey Bocharov.

"Last night, the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation repelled an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Volgograd region. As a result of the fall of UAV debris in the Rudnyansky district, a cellular communication tower was damaged," the regional administration's press service quoted the governor as saying on its Telegram channel.

There is no information about casualties or other damage.
