- Fighters of the Vostok group liberated the village of Egorovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region
The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces liberated the village of Egorovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, advancing along the left bank of the Yanchur River. As a result of the sweeps, the assault groups took control of a defense area with a length of more than 4 km, and the total area of the liberated territory exceeded 6 square kilometers. The Russian flag was raised over the village, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on October 30.
"They were caught off guard. We got a few trophies, mostly of NATO production: grenade launchers, machine guns, components for self—made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)," said an attack aircraft with the call sign Kaponir.
According to a fighter with the call sign Zubov, the sweep took place in difficult conditions.: the enemy mined forest belts and buildings, leaving "surprises" in positions.
"All this must be carefully avoided and checked: look at your feet all the time, inspect the aisles, corners, doors. First, we push the door with an object or pull a rope around the corner to make sure that there is no ambush inside. The enemy can withdraw and mine the positions. There are a lot of tasks, it's difficult to get through, but weather conditions sometimes help — rain, fog," he said.
Now the Vostok units have gained a foothold on the occupied borders along Yanchur and are controlling the approaches to the settlement. The advance continues along both banks of the river.
Earlier, on October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the fighters of the Vostok group of forces had liberated the village of Privolnoye in the Zaporizhia region, advancing along the western bank of the Yanchur. During the operation, the enemy's fortified positions were destroyed, and the units gained a foothold on new frontiers.
