Congresswoman Luna said about Obama's failed policy towards Russia
Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the US House of Representatives from the Republican Party, said that the period of the presidency of former American leader Barack Obama was marked by Washington's foreign policy failure in relations with the Russian Federation. This became known on October 29.
"It is worth noting that presidents from Kennedy (John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States) to Bush (George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States) and Clinton (Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States) maintained constructive relations with Russia. It was only under the Obama administration that these relations turned into a foreign policy failure," RIA Novosti news agency quoted her as saying.
The politician also emphasized that the true position of the America First movement is to achieve mutual understanding with Russia and support a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict through dialogue and the search for compromise solutions.
Earlier, on October 29, Luna stated that the United States is interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and in the desire of Russia and Ukraine for mutual understanding. She also noted that the United States should strive for peace, and not support destruction, including financially.
