US President Donald Trump announced an agreement with South Korea, according to which the country will build a nuclear submarine for the United States instead of "old-fashioned diesel submarines." He wrote about this on October 29 on the Truth Social network.

According to Trump, Seoul has agreed to pay the United States $350 billion to reduce tariffs, as well as purchase large amounts of oil and gas, investing more than $600 billion in the American economy.

"Our military alliance has become stronger than ever before," the president stressed.

He noted that the construction of a nuclear submarine would be an important step to strengthen the region's defense capability and increase the fleet's maneuverability compared to existing diesel submarines.
