Guard Private Dmitry Babushkin, as a tanker driver for a rocket artillery battery support platoon, was carrying out the task of refueling BM-21 Grad combat vehicles with diesel fuel when he noticed an approaching enemy FPV drone. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the special military operation zone on Thursday, October 30.

Babushkin was preparing a tanker truck for work when a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) flew up to him. Instantly getting his bearings, the guard private pulled out his standard-issue weapon, took aim and shot down the FPV drone before it could attack. As a result, the loss of equipment was avoided.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the determination and bravery of the guard of Private Nikita Kazak, who, as part of the calculation of the howitzer self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S5 "Hyacinth-S" performed the task of humiliating the Ukrainian Armed Forces warehouse, which stored ammunition and other things necessary for the enemy.

During the mission, enemy artillery returned fire. Despite the danger, the calculation decided to complete the task. Kozak continued to feed the shells for the cannon. As a result, it was possible to destroy an ammunition depot and up to seven Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.

Earlier, on October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Guard Sergeant Igor Babenkov commanded a tank and provided fire support to Russian units, despite the return fire of enemy artillery.
