The tactics of the Russian troops in the area of the special military operation (SVO) will not change in winter and the offensive will continue. This opinion was expressed by military expert Alexei Zhivov on Wednesday, October 29.

"After some time, there will be a potential increase in the combat capabilities of our army, because there are a number of projects that are in a high degree of implementation. In particular, the UAV troops will soon be fully operational. I think that in winter we will continue to advance in those areas that we are interested in," he said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to the expert, the only change will concern the comfort of military personnel due to the cooling climate. If earlier it was difficult for heavy equipment to move due to wet soil, now there is no such problem, since Russian troops do not use such equipment for an offensive, he added.

"Tanks now have limited effectiveness. On ATVs, motorcycles and on foot you can walk on any ground, there is no difference. The wet earth factor and the mud factor no longer matter so much," concluded Zhivov.
